"Shakespeare is Alive and Well in Dorchester" our new two year program

The “Shakespeare is Alive and Well in Dorchester” program is held in collaboration with the Boston Public Schools as an after-school art program. 100 students from three area schools are participating ,The O'Hearn Elementry, Harbor k-8, and Murphy k-8, The program provides Dorchester students with the opportunity to deepen and broaden their understanding of the world through the study of art and the works of William Shakespeare. Students will use the works of Shakespeare to help shape and focus their ideas about their world using painting, costume design, puppetry, set design and print materials. We are collaborating with The Strand’s Youth Theatre Project and the Actors' Shakespeare Project.
